Farewell and Gratitude: Prof. Alberto Catanese

Posted on 20 Jan at 1:12 pm

In January 2026, we said farewell to Prof. Alberto Catanese, who left our Institute to take up a new position as Head of Neuroanatomy at RWTH Aachen University.

During his time with us, Prof. Catanese worked as a professor with a focus on neuromodulation and was a valued member of our community. His enthusiasm for science and his openness made working with him a real pleasure. He contributed greatly to both research and teaching and was always a supportive and inspiring colleague.

We are very thankful for the commitment Prof. Catanese has brought to the Institute. As he moves on to his new role in Aachen, we wish him much success, exciting challenges, and all the best for the future.

Thank you! You will be missed, and we wish you all the best in your new role!
